Project

We are seeking a QA Engineer with a product-focused mindset to join a long-term project in the maritime SaaS domain. The platform is designed to digitize and optimize ship management across technical, operational, and commercial areas. You will play a key role in building the automated testing framework from scratch. This means you will have ownership of designing the approach, setting up the framework, and implementing the first automated regression tests, followed by broader functional test coverage. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with Playwright and TypeScript, comfortable working close to the code, and able to work independently to bring in ideas and drive the QA setup. You will also be responsible for integrating tests into Azure DevOps pipelines and ensuring a scalable approach to quality assurance. If you’re familiar with Azure Cloud, and you enjoy shaping testing frameworks for cloud-deployed applications, this role is for you.

What you'll be doing

• Building the automated testing framework from scratch for a newly rewritten React frontend
• Creating automated regression tests and later expanding functional and integration test coverage
• Setting up and maintaining the Playwright and TypeScript testing framework
• Integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines
• Collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality delivery in a cloud-based environment

Expected competences and knowledge

• 3+ years of Automation Testing experience
• Solid experience with Playwright
• 3+ years of solid experience in TypeScript programming
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD integration)
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud (deployment, environments)
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a “greenfield” testing setup
• Strong problem-solving skills and interest in working close to the code (React-based applications)
• Nice to have: curiosity about AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude)
