Mid Fullstack Developer (.NET + React)

Project

Project is focused on the development and enhancement of the GDS product suite, delivering scalable and reliable software solutions that support key business functionalities. This role is for a Fullstack Software Developer (.NET + React) with approximately 3+ years of experience, working as part of an Agile development team and contributing to various projects within the suite. The position involves supporting new feature development, writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and taking ownership of delivery tasks with minimal supervision. In addition, the role includes active participation in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing technical knowledge, and collaborating closely with peers and senior engineers to enhance product quality and streamline team processes.

Expected competences and knowledge

• 3+ years of experience in developing modern web applications (frontend & backend)
• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, REST API development
• Solid experience with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, with the ability to build modular, component-based user interfaces
• Good understanding of responsive design principles and basic accessibility best practices
• Experience in debugging, maintaining, and supporting applications after deployment
• Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to independently debug and troubleshoot issues in both development and live environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL Server, Redis, or similar database and caching technologies
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Sentry, New Relic)
• Relevant technical degree 
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)

Responsibilities you'll have

• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, and testing
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and tester-facing materials
• Apply a test-first approach, writing unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming to share knowledge and maintain best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in both new and existing applications, collaborating with teammates when needed
• Support post-deployment maintenance, focusing on application stability, performance, and issue resolution
• Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset, staying current with technologies and best practices
