Data Analyst

Salary: 800 - 1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa (at least 2 day per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on securing the data requirements in relation to

the introduction of a new generation Financial Crime Prevention Investigation tool. In your role you will be co-designing the Canonical Data Model (CDM) securing the robustness and scalability of the data model whilst considering its associated data integrations, supporting business requirements adhering to data, security, and governance standards.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Perform IT analysis, investigative data analysis, system design, and data modelling to support development teams
• Take lead or facilitating role to drive functional and non-functional requirements and analysis work that involves multiple stakeholders, to design sustainable and value adding solutions
• Ensure alignment and transparency of requirements by acting as a bridge between IT and business teams
• Build a contextual understanding of business processes on one hand and functional/technical know-how of our solutions on the other
• Build understanding of data model, its consumption by development Teams, and if data fulfils business requirements in our IIS area
• Collaborate with development teams (developers, architects, IT analysts)

Expected competences and knowledge

• Previous experience in IT analysis - business, system & data
• Strong business and technical background
• Experience in relational databases design and querying, including optimization
• Experience with JSON/AVRO data formats
• Experience with use and expansion of standardized data model like Canonical Data Model
• Experience with at least one of following programming languages: Python, R, Java
• Experience in requirement analysis and refinement in data related areas
• Experience in defining and forming business & technical requirements into understandable format
• Familiar with Big Data platforms (querying, optimization, loading and retrieving data) and at least some of the following technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Impala, pySpark, HQL
• Utilize Jira and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control
• Very good in interpersonal communications and must have good command over English language
• Familiar with Agile ways of working and willing to work in cross-border, cross-cultural, virtual teams
• Passion for data analysis, problem solving and requirements elicitation
