Salary: 1100 - 1280 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

As an Expert Data Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping and implementing our's Client data architecture. You will design efficient and scalable database schemas, create data models that reflect complex business processes, and develop robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines. Your work will ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across integrated systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, as you’ll also be expected to support knowledge sharing, define best practices, and contribute to the long-term data strategy and roadmap of the organization.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Designing and implementing scalable data architectures, database schemas, and data models that reflect business processes and ensure high performance
• Building and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and standardization of data from various internal and external sources
• Ensuring data quality and consistency by defining validation rules, transformation logic, and error-handling mechanisms
• Optimizing database performance through indexing, partitioning, and other tuning techniques
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, business stakeholders) to translate business needs into effective data solutions
• Documenting data flows, integration points, and metadata, including data dictionaries and technical specifications
• Contributing to the technical data roadmap by identifying architectural improvements, automation opportunities, and reducing technical debt

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, modeling, and database design (SQL and NoSQL)
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data pipelines using tools like Informatica, DataStage, or Snowflake
• Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering context
• Practical knowledge of data governance and a strong awareness of data quality principles
• Ability to design scalable and well-documented integration solutions, including APIs, message queues, and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency in creating UML diagrams (ERD, sequence, component) and familiarity with BPMN
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Working proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to think systematically about data flows
• Nice to have:
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
