Automation Test Engineer

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on cross-border payments and SWIFT-based integrations in a global environment. The project covers end-to-end international payment flows, compliant with ISO 20022, SEPA, and SWIFT messaging standards.

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will design and develop robust test automation solutions, execute and analyze automated tests, perform root cause analysis, and estimate test efforts across complex, multi-technology systems. You will work closely with international teams and stakeholders to ensure high quality, reliability, and compliance of critical payment processes.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and testing architecture

• Plan and coordinate test automation activities across projects

• Perform test analysis and design effective test cases aligned with business and technical requirements

• Implement and execute automated and manual test scenarios

• Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis of defects

• Estimate test effort and contribute to project planning and risk assessment

• Ensure test coverage, quality standards, and best practices are met throughout the delivery lifecycle

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders

• Communicate testing status, risks, and results to stakeholders and support decision-making

Expected competences and knowledge

• Hands-on experience with Python and Robot Framework

• Strong experience with test automation tools and test management tools

• Solid understanding of software testing principles equivalent to ISTQB Foundation Level

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins

• Ability to work effectively in a global, distributed environment

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Experience in payments, banking, or financial services domain

• Ability to apply QA expertise and modern testing technologies to analyze, improve, and innovate solutions
