Salary: 900-1150 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia (at least 1/2 day per week from the office)

Project

As an Application Manager, you will be responsible for critical enterprise applications' operation, maintenance, and optimization. You will be the primary contact for business and IT stakeholders, ensuring smooth application performance, compliance, and security. This role involves incident management, problem resolution, budgeting, and continuous process improvement, making it ideal for professionals with a strong IT background looking to have a strategic and technical impact.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Act as the primary contact for domain units and stakeholders regarding assigned applications
• Ensure operational stability by maintaining applications, collaborating with AO, AM, support teams, and business units
• Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management, engaging subject matter experts when needed
• Analyze performance metrics and indicators to assess impact and drive preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with internal Application Management Guidelines and oversee risk registration and mitigation strategies
• Maintain up-to-date application portfolio data across various systems
• Oversee budgeting and cost tracking for applications, ensuring financial transparency
• Drive strategic decision-making regarding application lifecycle and improvements
• Develop and refine best practices for application management with internal and external teams
• Lead communication with stakeholders, bridging technical teams and business leaders

 

 

Expected competencies and knowledge

• Strong IT background, preferably as an IT Service Manager, IT Project Manager, Developer, Architect, DevOps, QA, or Operations Specialist
• Understanding of IT infrastructure & architectures, particularly Java, Kafka, and Oracle
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying risks and implementing solutions
• Proven collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Several years of professional IT experience in a related field
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or IT-related discipline
• Fluent English (B2+) for effective communication in an international team
• ITIL certification is a plus
• Experience in monitoring application performance using tools like Splunk, Grafana, or similar (nice to have)
