Project

---

The team is working on a set of six different products, utilizing various technologies. The Android Developer’s role will focus on specific areas, primarily related to solutions for the heating sector. The project aims to enhance workforce management by optimizing work scheduling, meter management, and processes such as replacement and maintenance.

The role will be part of a team of seven members, including two SAP Developers, a Back-end Developer, an iOS Developer, an Android Developer, and a Front-end Developer. Task assignments are managed by the Product Owner based in the Netherlands.

 

Core responsibilities and tasks

• Translating business requirements into user stories
• Implementing Android app solutions based on the defined user stories
• Fixing data-related issues ensuring data integrity) involves SQL database skills and knowledge of the backend architecture)
• Reviewing pull requests to maintain code quality
• Participating in refinement meetings
• Setting up and maintaining user accounts/roles and permissions in Azure DevOps
• Advising/training users (team-members, planners, mechanics, SMP) and incorporating feedback

 

Expected Competencies and Skills

• Proficiency in Android Studio and solid experience with Kotlin and Java (C# knowledge is a plus). 
  Mid-level: 4-7 years of experience
  Senior-level: 7+ years of experience
  
• Strong understanding of Jetpack Compose for modern declarative UI design
• Experience working with XML Views and ViewBinding for legacy components
• Familiarity with LiveData and StateFlow for managing app state
• Expertise in Dependency Injection, specifically using Dagger for managing dependencies
• Experience with Retrofit for REST API communication
• Proficiency in Room for local data storage and offline functionality
• Knowledge of WorkManager for managing background tasks
• Experience with ProGuard and R8 for code shrinking, obfuscation, and APK optimization
• Strong knowledge of Asynchronous Programming, with Coroutines as the primary method, and understanding of Observables
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing using frameworks like Espresso, Robolectric, and Mockito/MockK
• Familiarity with Firebase Messaging for implementing real-time notifications
• Experience with CameraX API for handling image capture and manipulation
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes using Azure Pipeline for building and deploying Android applications
• Experience with Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) for user authentication and managing user roles/accounts in Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in managing app releases via Google Play Console

• Developer speaks Dutch it would be an advantage
