Jacobs is expanding its work on next‑generation Digital Twin platforms, and we are seeking a Senior QA Engineer who will take full ownership of designing and implementing automated testing across the solution. The role includes defining the automation strategy, building and maintaining test frameworks, and ensuring end‑to‑end product quality.

From a technical perspective, the position focuses on automated and integration testing for a data‑driven Digital Twin environment that combines real‑time 3D visualization, event‑driven data flows, and cloud‑based backend services. This includes validating 3D scene updates, testing API and data‑pipeline integrations, verifying system behavior under real‑time conditions, and ensuring stability and performance across the platform. The automation stack includes Playwright, TypeScript, API testing tools, and performance testing utilities such as k6, along with tools for inspecting 3D scenes, data synchronization, and system logs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end (E2E) regression tests for a React Web App using Playwright

  • Validate authentication and authorization flows integrated with Ping One

  • Test and analyze video‑streaming performance and stability for components built on the Omniverse Web Streaming Library

  • Develop, execute and maintain performance test scripts including load scenarios for web APIs

  • Monitor, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable execution of automated tests

  • Collaborate with developers and testers to identify, triage and manage defects across cloud‑hosted services running on Azure Container Apps, with secure configuration via Key Vault and data validation against Azure SQL Database

  • Generate and interpret test reports to support release decisions

  • Participate in refinement sessions to ensure testability, clear acceptance criteria and alignment with delivery teams

Here's what you'll need:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Test Automation, QA Engineering 

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright for E2E automation of web applications

  • Experience testing cloud‑based solutions, ideally on Azure

  • Understanding of authentication/identity flows (experience with Ping One or similar tools is a plus)

  • Experience with performance testing

  • Experience testing performance and stability of real‑time 3D or simulation platforms, including load testing with tools like k6

  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps

  • Experience working with Git‑based repositories (GitHub)

  • Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect and task management

  • Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, client‑facing teams

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality

  • Good communication skills in English
