DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong database background to join our core engineering team and take ownership of our AWS-based database environments.

✅ Your responsibilities:

• Ownership, administration, and maintenance of a large-scale database environment with 40 to 50 databases

• Primary focus on AWS MySQL and Amazon Aurora

• Occasional work with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server

• Performance tuning and optimization, including high-traffic databases

• Supporting development teams with database-related challenges, including query optimization and performance best practices

• Monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for database systems

• Optional on-call rotation

• Close collaboration with the core engineering team

• Contributing to technical decisions and shaping the database and platform roadmap

🧠 Our requirements:

• Proven experience in a DevOps, Database Engineer, or DBA role with strong database ownership

• Very good knowledge of MySQL and Amazon Aurora

• Hands-on experience with AWS in production environments

• Strong skills in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of databases

• Experience working with environments hosting many databases and multiple applications

• Ability to work closely with developers and improve inefficient queries and data models

• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset and willingness to influence technical direction

• Exposure to high-traffic or business-critical systems

• Familiarity with automation, monitoring, or infrastructure tooling around databases
