Test Automation Developer (JavaScript/Node.js)

Join one of the largest TV broadcasters in Poland as a Test Automation Engineer!

Krakow/Warsaw-based opportunity with almost fully remote work model (1 day in the office/month).

As an Test Automation Developer you will be working for our client, a prominent player in the media industry focused on delivering scalable and high-quality digital products. You will be part of a collaborative and agile environment, contributing to the development and maintenance of automation tools to ensure the stability and performance of complex REST API systems. Working closely with developers and QA engineers, you will help shape and refine test strategies that support rapid software delivery and continuous integration.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for REST APIs together with another test automation engineer

• Collaborating with the development team, testers, and business representatives in creating and improving test scenarios

• Monitoring application quality, reporting bugs, and supporting the team in their analysis and resolution

• Participating in CI/CD processes, configuring and maintaining test pipelines in Jenkins

• Ensuring the quality of technical and test documentation

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in REST API test automation

• Very good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and the Node.js environment

• Experience with REST API testing libraries such as JEST + Supertest, Axios, Playwright API Testing, Got, Node-fetch, or similar

• Practical knowledge of Jenkins and writing automation scripts (e.g. Bash, npm scripts)

• Knowledge of version control systems: Git

• English language proficiency allowing for fluent reading and creation of technical documentation

• Ability to think analytically and decompose tasks

• Understanding and ability to apply regular expressions

Nice to have:

• Ability to work within Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence

• Experience with Fastify.js, Nest.js

• Experience with serverless solutions, including AWS Lambda

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Cypress

• Knowledge of tools: WDIO, Gherkin, Cucumber, Mocha

• Ability to write functional and integration tests

• Knowledge in the area of digital advertising

• Familiarity with Datadog

• Knowledge of test coverage and reporting tools (e.g. Allure)
