As a Developer you will be working for our client, a major player in the European insurance and financial services industry, renowned for its stability and customer-centric approach. You will join a core team responsible for a business-critical policy administration system, a cornerstone of their operations. This unique role offers a fantastic opportunity to become an expert in a niche technology - Graphtalk. You will be instrumental in not only maintaining and developing existing functionalities but also in architecting and implementing new products and features. This position is a perfect blend of hands-on development and high-level system design, placing you at the forefront of the company's technological advancement.

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop core policy systems

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements

• Develop and implement new insurance products within the system

• Create detailed technical documentation for new and existing solutions

• Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and performance

• Conduct comprehensive application testing to ensure quality

• Implement new product features and functionalities

• Create and deliver insightful technical reports

• Work directly with internal customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Production-level programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++

• A strong desire and proven ability to quickly learn new, niche technologies

• Experience in designing or architecting software solutions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge of Oracle database

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with business and technical teams

• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently

• An interest in the financial or insurance sector
