Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (AWS, banking)

As a Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution that provides a wide range of services to individuals, corporations, and institutions. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical production environments within a large-scale financial platform. The client is focused on maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable infrastructure while driving improvements through automation and modern technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex systems supporting high-value financial services worldwide.

Location: Warsaw hybrid - 3 day per week in the office

Rate: B2B: 125 - 170 PLN/h

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor production environments to ensure stability and availability

• Perform infrastructure migrations and implement modifications securely

• Configure and optimize HA Proxy, Kong, and Apache for traffic management

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitLab

• Manage and optimize AWS services including RDS, S3, and EC2

• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux and networking-related issues for applications

• Monitor system performance and implement proactive improvements

• Collaborate with development and operations teams on infrastructure initiatives

• Automate operational workflows and processes using Python

• Ensure best practices for security, resilience, and compliance

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Min. 4 years of experience as a SRE

• Strong experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, and EC2

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitLab for IaC and CI/CD

• Solid knowledge of HA Proxy, Kong, and Apache

• Proven experience managing production performance, availability, and monitoring

• Strong understanding of Linux system administration and networking

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed system issues

• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving

• Experience with administering Nexus or JFrog Artifactory is a strong plus
