As a Senior Technology Category Manager – Procurement & Sourcing, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the financial services industry, focused on transforming supply chain strategies and delivering innovative procurement solutions on a global scale. This role offers the chance to drive impactful sourcing strategies for enterprise infrastructure, working with stakeholders worldwide to optimize technology procurement.
Your main responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of procurement category strategies for enterprise infrastructure at a global level.
Collaborate with stakeholders to craft sourcing strategies and tactics for procurement initiatives, offering commercial leadership to senior executives.
Manage end-to-end planning and execution of sourcing projects, including requirement gathering, negotiations, and securing internal approvals.
Understand supplier market dynamics and leverage insights to identify opportunities arising from market shifts and new product offerings.
Drive business outcomes by executing category planning lifecycle activities, ensuring value delivery and target savings.
Support the creation and maintenance of a pipeline of projects aligned with savings targets.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and monitor compliance with buying channels.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
5+ years of experience in technology sourcing, preferably including software (On-premise and SaaS), with a focus on trading and brokerage platforms.
Experience in Technology Category Management and managing global stakeholder networks.
Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into effective category strategies and build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Sound background in leading complex negotiations of IT contracts from requirements to execution.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with commercial insight.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results at pace.
Robust understanding of third-party contract frameworks and the financial services industry’s key players, risks, and requirements.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Additional certifications in procurement or project management.
Knowledge of financial markets and related technology solutions.
