Senior React Native Developer (banking)

Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in the office).

As a Senior React Native Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution that is focused on providing cutting-edge digital solutions in the banking sector. You will be part of the Business Services Digital team within the Global Banking and Markets IT division, contributing to the development of mobile applications that enhance customer experiences and streamline banking processes. This role requires a strong technical foundation in React Native, a passion for developing high-performance applications, and the ability to collaborate in an agile environment to deliver well-structured, maintainable, and fully tested solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, testing, and implementing React Native applications
• Maintaining a delivery-oriented approach to developing applications and their supporting infrastructure
• Managing and coordinating software releases through to production
• Debugging and resolving issues related to iOS and Android integrations
• Ensuring applications meet corporate security and compliance requirements
• Building and implementing best practices for mobile development
• Creating pixel-perfect UI based on provided specifications
• Mentoring and guiding other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Collaborating with UX designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Working within an agile environment, actively participating in sprints and stand-up meetings

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven track record in delivering React Native applications
• Excellent knowledge of React.js and React Native (react-native-cli)
• Strong experience in iOS and Android development, including integrations
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest and Testing Library React
• Familiarity with Xcode and Android Studio
• Strong understanding of accessibility best practices for mobile applications
• Knowledge of JSON and XML for data marshalling/de-marshalling
• Experience working with Git and IDEs like IntelliJ and VSCode
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with mobile component libraries
• Familiarity with design tokens
• Background in developing digital products in the banking or onboarding space
• Experience with RePack and alternative methods for bundling React Native applications
• Passion for test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
