As a Senior Purple Team Engineer – Cybersecurity Penetration Testing, you will be working for a leading international IT company within the Business Area IT – Cybersecurity. Your role will be to advance the bank’s security defenses by executing sophisticated purple team operations, simulating real-world attacks, and guiding the development of resilient security controls. Join us in pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity innovation and safeguarding critical financial assets.
Your main responsibilities:
Lead and execute purple team activities, including TTP review and application to test security controls across various domains.
Develop and exploit vulnerabilities by creating advanced exploit code and automation tooling.
Collaborate with Red and Blue teams to simulate attack scenarios, analyze threat techniques, and improve defensive strategies.
Keep current with evolving threat actor TTPs, integrating new knowledge into purple team exercises.
Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and control improvements to diverse stakeholders.
Research, prepare, and execute techniques aligned with industry standards to identify and address security weaknesses.
Support continuous purple teaming initiatives, ensuring resilience against emerging threats in a dynamic financial environment.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-level penetration testing, or vulnerability research.
Proven expertise in exploit development, TTP review, and offensive security tools.
Strong knowledge of malware, bypass techniques, and attack simulation methodologies.
Hands-on experience with tooling, automation, and source code review.
Ability to demonstrate complex attack scenarios and articulate technical findings effectively.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, CREST, GWAPT).
Experience working within financial services or regulated environments.
Language Required for the role:
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
