Senior Project Manager

Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Senior PMO you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution managing complex, multi-country programmes and projects. You will be overseeing project governance, ensuring alignment with organisational standards, and supporting project managers in delivering initiatives efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring project performance, facilitating decision-making across multiple stakeholders, and implementing PMO best practices. You will also be driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies, and supporting strategic initiatives while working proactively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Monitoring programme and project performance across multiple regions

• Supporting project managers in planning, execution, and delivery

• Applying PMO processes and project management best practices

• Running meetings and facilitating communication across stakeholders

• Producing project documentation, status reports, and dashboards

• Conducting risk and issue analysis and proposing mitigation strategies

• Coordinating cross-functional teams and promoting collaboration

• Driving continuous improvement within PMO processes

• Ensuring compliance with project management methodologies

• Providing analytical insights to support programme governance

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 10 years’ experience in project/programme management

• Minimum 3 years managing complex, multi-country projects

• Strong understanding of programme and project lifecycle

• Knowledge of project management methodologies and PMO processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and proactively

• Experience running meetings in English over video or teleconference

• Evidence of self-development and continuous learning

• Experience coordinating and influencing cross-functional teams

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience leading a PMO unit

• PMP or MSP training or certification
