As a Senior Network Security SME, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to safeguarding its digital and physical assets. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our client's cybersecurity defenses by developing and implementing advanced network security measures, ensuring the resilience and integrity of critical infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of strategic security initiatives to enhance network defenses.

• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholders.

• Conduct in-depth reviews of security design documentation and firewall rules, identifying potential security gaps.

• Support the creation and rollout of remediation plans for security deficiencies.

• Deliver advanced technical support on complex network solutions, cryptography, and data security projects.

• Lead risk assessment activities and develop comprehensive risk management strategies.

• Collaborate with regional and global cybersecurity teams to address security concerns and improve controls.

• Maintain current knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.

• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security.

• Strong proficiency with security technologies such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, and proxies.

• In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS) and protocol analysis tools.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

• Proven ability to produce comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations.

• Possession of advanced industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM is highly desirable.

• Experience working within regulated environments, ideally in financial services.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM (or equivalent).

• Experience with network protocol analysis tools and cloud computing platforms.

• Fluent English
