As a Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in cybersecurity within the financial sector. This pivotal role involves fortifying the company’s data security posture by supporting DLP policy governance, deploying advanced tooling, and collaborating across regional and global teams. Your main responsibilities:
Support the delivery and operational strategy for cybersecurity, focusing on data protection and DLP governance.
Provide expertise on DLP policies, including creation, tuning, recertification, testing, and deployment.
Assist in the implementation of controls aligned with HSBC Data Security policies and standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Strategy, Architecture, Security Shared Services, and IT to drive enterprise-wide data security initiatives.
Monitor and report on policy performance using key metrics and indicators.
Oversee control activities from a technical perspective, including defect assessment and control ownership.
Engage with service, technology, and platform owners to ensure optimal service delivery, addressing bugs, performance issues, and technology upgrades.
Maintain thorough documentation of processes and tasks, applying agile methodologies when appropriate.
Participate in test planning, scripting, execution, defect management, and automation efforts.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Minimum of 4 years of cybersecurity experience, with proven exposure to DLP products such as Symantec DLP, Proofpoint, McAfee CASB, or MIP data classification tools.
Strong knowledge of Data in Motion (DIM) and Data at Rest (DAR) security frameworks.
Hands-on experience with policy creation, tuning, testing, deployment, and management.
Familiarity with managing policy and whitelist guidelines.
Excellent documentation skills, proficient in tools like Confluence and Jira, with experience in agile processes.
Experience in test planning, scripting, defect management, and, ideally, test automation.
Customer-focused mindset with exceptional stakeholder management skills, including hosting governance meetings.
Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
Ability to make impactful decisions considering risks, long-term implications, and stakeholder needs.
Experience working within highly regulated environments or financial services is preferred.
Wide-ranging security expertise, especially regarding Data Security, privacy, and data anonymization.
Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining regulatory compliance.
