Senior Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial leader advancing the automation and modernization of its infrastructure platforms. You will be contributing to the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency across multiple environments. By leveraging agile delivery methods and DevOps practices, you will be ensuring continuous improvement, reducing organizational barriers, and driving innovation. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex challenges, and shape technology solutions with global impact.Kraków or Warsaw- based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

Your main responsibilities:

• Work as part of a cross-disciplined engineering team delivering automation and integration use cases.

• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and removing organizational barriers affecting team, processes, and products.

• Manage stakeholder involvement, product SMEs and project managers.

• Support scoping and prioritizing of engineering solutions delivery.

• Design and develop end-to-end infrastructure automation solutions for on-premise and container-based environments.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues across DEV, UAT, Production, and Contingency environments.

• Enable improvements in agile software delivery, production support, and DevOps pipelines.

• Perform hands-on technical tasks and ensure adherence to technology standards and controls.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience in Cybersecurity, Development, or Operations.

• Solid understanding of Data, Networks, and Endpoint security domains.

• Knowledge of software architecture, design, and delivery.

• Past experience in roles such as Systems Engineer or DBA.

• Strong full stack engineering capability: front & back end programming, database design, infrastructure delivery.

• Firm knowledge of CI/CD & DevOps methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, Maven.

• Strong API knowledge (REST, SOAP, JSON, Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0, Microservices).

• Programming skills in Python, Pyspark, JavaScript (NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, CSS).

• Working knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

• Experience with Agile testing (TDD/BDD) and strong Agile/Scrum development background.

• Strong communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

• A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to continuously learn.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Splunk.

• Familiarity with Windows/Linux/UNIX environments.

• Experience in system or application administration.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization of services.

• Background in knowledge-sharing and driving best practices.
