Senior API Developer – Cybersecurity and Identity Orchestration

As a Senior API Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading innovator in cybersecurity and identity management. You will contribute to building and enhancing secure, scalable API-driven identity workflows, supporting vital security and access management functions across complex enterprise environments. Your main responsibilities:

• Design and implement identity flows for provisioning, de-provisioning, and lifecycle management, integrating with Cloud Identity Services, ServiceNow, and internal systems

• Develop, secure, and document RESTful APIs supporting identity, provisioning, and governance workflows

• Build policy-based orchestration workflows for adaptive authentication and context-aware access using industry standards such as OPA

• Create pipelines publishing API events to Pub/Sub systems for tasks like identity lifecycle automation, access review triggers, and security logging

• Develop Cloud Functions, Cloud Run microservices, or containerized solutions for event processing with retries, idempotency, and structured logging

• Build Terraform modules for IAM, API services, Pub/Sub, workloads, and permissions; automate deployment via CI/CD pipelines

• Troubleshoot identity, access, and API workflow issues; collaborate with security teams during audits, compliance checks, and incidents

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in API and microservice development within the identity/security domain

• Proven expertise with modern identity orchestration platforms (e.g., Auth0 Actions, Okta Workflows, WorkOS, SlashID)

• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js

• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native APIs on Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GKE

• Deep understanding of event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub systems, and message processing patterns

• Strong knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, and identity federation protocols

• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles

• Experience with API gateways, reverse proxies, or service mesh technologies

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Cloud Architect certification

• Experience working with additional identity providers like Azure AD or Ping Identity

• Familiarity with Kubernetes (GKE RBAC + workload identity)

• Knowledge of secrets management tools such as Vault or Secret Manager

• Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA)

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English (both written and verbal)
