Python Developer (Part time - 0,5 FTE; 100% remote)

As a Python Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the European insurance market. You will contribute to an essential project within the claims department, focusing on a critical system provided by an external vendor. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing system capabilities, ensuring operational stability, and paving the way for a comprehensive future rewrite. This position offers a perfect balance of hands-on development and strategic collaboration to drive long-term innovation and performance.

Location: 100% remote
B2B: 100 - 120 PLN/h netto+vat

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough technical audit of the existing vendor system to identify improvement areas

• Develop and implement new functionalities aligned with business needs

• Maintain the application's stability and optimize its performance

• Serve as the technical intermediary between business stakeholders and the vendor

• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications

• Participate in strategic planning for the system’s complete overhaul

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve them effectively

• Assist in defining the future architecture of the claims system

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 4 years of experience as a Python Developer in a commercial environment

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with business and technical teams

• Experience maintaining and extending complex third-party systems

• Background in the insurance claims domain

• Proven track record in system audits and code reviews

• Proficiency in relational databases and API integrations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently

• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification or experience in system architecture design
