Medior Automation Engineer – Python, Shell, Ansible

As a Medior Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization dedicated to modernizing infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency. You will play a key role in implementing automation solutions across diverse environments to streamline processes and ensure reliable, scalable systems. Your expertise will directly impact system robustness and performance, allowing you to shape the future of financial technology by leveraging scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles in complex, collaborative projects.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python, Shell, and Ansible

• Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins

• Managing and troubleshooting Linux systems and command-line operations

• Applying technical documentation to facilitate integration of unfamiliar technologies

• Supporting the integration of distributed systems, ensuring high reliability

• Collaborating with teams to identify opportunities for process improvements

• Monitoring workflows and resolving operational issues efficiently

• Promoting infrastructure-as-code methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in automation engineering or related fields

• Proven hands-on skills with Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible

• Solid experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and command-line utilities

• Ability to quickly understand and apply technical documentation

• Understanding of integration concepts and distributed systems

• Excellent communication skills in English (fluent level)

• A proactive approach, capable of working independently and collaboratively

• Passion for innovation, automation, and continuous learning

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Prior exposure to IBM MQ
