Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 60% remotely (2 days per week in the office).

As a Fullstack Java + React Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and evolving a Platform Lookup Service, which plays a crucial role in automating control processes. This position requires both engineering expertise and an understanding of business analysis to ensure seamless integration and optimization of platform controls.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the Platform Lookup Service to support control automation
• Implementing backend solutions using Java and databases like PostgreSQL
• Building and enhancing front-end applications using ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ensuring platform compliance by analyzing and optimizing control processes
• Collaborating with internal teams to improve platform capabilities
• Deploying applications within internal platforms and cloud environments
• Following Agile and Scrum methodologies for efficient project execution
• Conducting business analysis to refine processes and improve platform efficiency
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to platform development
• Keeping up to date with industry best practices to enhance performance and security

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience working with Java (Java 8, ideally Java 21)
• Strong knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and SQL
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with technology platforms, including internal developer and hosting platforms
• Ability to perform business analysis to enhance control processes
• Experience with cloud-based and internal deployments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in financial environments

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Basic knowledge of Linux environments
• Prior experience in financial or enterprise-level organizations
