As an Expert Network Security Engineer – IDPS & Threat Prevention, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry committed to safeguarding digital assets and building innovative cybersecurity solutions. You will contribute to protecting critical network infrastructures by implementing and enhancing intrusion detection and prevention systems, driving strategic initiatives, and shaping resilient security architectures. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within a dynamic, globally-focused cybersecurity team focused on cutting-edge protection measures.
Your main responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and managing network IDPS security solutions.
Review and advise on security controls related to network architecture, ensuring compliance with best practices.
Analyze network logs and cybersecurity data to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
Lead initiatives to improve the organization’s network security posture through innovative solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support cybersecurity projects and drive best practices.
Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest network security threats, solutions, and industry standards.
Support the implementation of corrective and preventive cybersecurity measures.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or related fields.
Expert knowledge of network design, firewalls, IDPS, load balancing, DDoS mitigation, WAF, and network segmentation.
Deep understanding of network security threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to analyze complex network and security data to support decision-making.
Experience coaching and leading technical teams and projects.
Proficiency with Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
It is a strong plus if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCIE.
Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or similar languages.
Knowledge of cloud security and cloud computing concepts.
Familiarity with security operations, incident response, and SIEM tools.
