As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to pioneering secure cloud solutions and enhancing cybersecurity resilience. You will play a critical role in assessing and fortifying cloud security posture, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic security initiatives within Azure Cloud environments.
Your main responsibilities:
- Review, challenge, and escalate requests from Global Businesses and Functions for exceptions and risk acceptances related to mandatory security requirements, promoting consistent security policies across all Cloud platforms.
- Provide Cloud Security consultancy support, guiding clients through successful transition and deployment of cloud services to production.
- Drive continuous process improvements with a focus on automation, data-driven enhancements, and capability uplift in collaboration with the wider team.
- Understand and apply relevant Cloud Security controls effectively, aligning with our client’s cybersecurity strategy.
- Contribute to strengthening our client’s technology security from the inside out, safeguarding the organization’s reputation and stakeholder value.
- Engage effectively across Global Businesses, Functions, and Regions, advocating for best practices and industry standards.
- Stay current on industry trends, actively promoting and leading adoption of innovative security solutions.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Azure Cloud security and engineering.
- Advanced hands-on technical knowledge of Azure cloud platform.
- Proficiency with software development tools and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL, and data formats like XML, JSON, CSV.
- Strong customer focus with excellent relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive attitude with high integrity and a solid work ethic.
- Sound technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and strong communication abilities, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Ability to produce concise reports and documentation tailored for diverse audiences.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Knowledge of cloud vendor tooling beyond Azure.
- Experience conducting cybersecurity assessments or reviews.
- Understanding of risk management and control frameworks.
- Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, CI/CD frameworks like Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, and Nexus.
- Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or Cloud Security certifications.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
