Cloud Security Architect

Warsaw-hybrid opportunity (3 days per week from the office)

As a Cloud Security Architect you will be working for our client, a global financial institution recognized for its leadership in investment services and advanced technology infrastructure. You will join a cross-regional Technology Risk team responsible for embedding risk-oriented controls into cloud environments and software development processes. Your focus will be on securing cloud-native applications, defining reusable security patterns, and guiding teams on risk mitigation strategies across SaaS, IaaS, and hybrid deployments. This is a hands-on role with significant impact on the client’s global security posture.

Your main responsibilities:

• Evaluate technology design proposals and identify associated risks

• Design secure architectural patterns and create implementation guidelines

• Develop policy-as-code templates and reusable modules for cloud environments

• Perform infrastructure-as-code reviews and detect misconfigurations

• Validate cloud security controls across multi-cloud deployments

• Assess risks related to SaaS and software supply chain integrations

• Support security integration into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows

• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into solutions

• Conduct research and proof of concepts for new security tools

• Align risk governance practices with cloud adoption strategies

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure-focused roles (Network, Windows, or Linux)

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP stack and core infrastructure protocols

• Strong knowledge of cloud and on-premise security risks

• Experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS preferred)

• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code practices

• Familiarity with SaaS risk or software supply chain risk

• Ability to assess and design secure cloud architectures

• Experience working within secure SDLC and CI/CD environments

• A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
