Business Analyst

Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/month in the office).

As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services provider undertaking a digital transformation of its risk and reporting systems. You will play a key role in translating business needs into actionable user stories and ensuring smooth collaboration between product owners and engineering teams. The project involves modern technologies including microservices, Spring Boot, and Angular, with a strong focus on agile delivery and data-driven development. You will support the full software lifecycle, from analysis to deployment, within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conducting current-state and future-state impact analysis

• Translating business requirements into agile technical user stories

• Collaborating with developers and testers to drive feature delivery

• Participating in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, planning, and reviews

• Performing data analysis, mapping, and modeling activities

• Maintaining close collaboration with the wider BA community

• Communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

• Supporting testing efforts, including BDD and acceptance criteria validation

• Documenting workflows, system capabilities, and solution designs

• Staying aligned with business strategy and evolving IT practices

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in the financial industry

• Strong understanding of investment banking products, PnL, and risk concepts

• Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle in agile environments

• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for collaboration and documentation

• Advanced SQL and Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

• Familiarity with complex IT systems and interface definitions

• Experience working with cross-system and cross-team change projects

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Effective time management and multitasking abilities

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Hands-on experience with BDD and automated testing frameworks

• Background in regulatory or conduct-related projects

• Knowledge of data warehousing and workflow tools

• Experience working in a microservices and event-driven architecture

• Understanding of messaging protocols such as Kafka
