Automation Tester with UFT One

As an Automation Tester (UFT One) you will be working for our client, a leading European insurance group with a strong presence in the Polish market, known for its commitment to innovation and providing reliable financial products. You will join a dedicated quality assurance team responsible for ensuring the stability and functionality of their core business applications. The project focuses on automating the testing processes for critical desktop-based systems that manage insurance policies and claims. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the existing automation framework, expanding test coverage, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the software development lifecycle, ensuring the highest quality for business-critical software.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing robust test scripts using UFT One

• Preparing and documenting comprehensive test scenarios and cases

• Maintaining and updating the existing automation framework and test suites

• Analyzing test results to identify and report software defects

• Preparing and configuring test environments for execution

• Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation

• Collaborating closely with the development and project teams

• Optimizing and streamlining testing processes for greater efficiency

• Monitoring and reporting on testing progress and quality metrics

• Supporting the team with best practices in test automation

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation with Micro Focus UFT One (formerly QTP)

• Proven experience in testing desktop applications, particularly those based on Windows Forms

• Proficiency in VBScript for creating and maintaining test scripts

• Solid understanding of API testing principles and practices

• Practical knowledge of SQL for database validation

• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for integrating and running automated tests

• Expertise in using Jira and Confluence for test management, documentation, and defect tracking

• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and design patterns like POM/POP

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
