Main purpose of the position:

Are you ready to join a dynamic team driving innovative cloud solutions? We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Azure and optimize our cloud architecture.

You will lead cloud migration initiatives, optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance, and ensure security compliance. Collaborating with FinOps, DevSecOps, and the cloud operations team, you will implement automation practices, provide mentorship, and assist in creating cloud landing zones while operationalizing architecture designed by security, network, and platform architects.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement Azure-based cloud solutions, including the migration of on-premises infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the cloud operations team to ensure smooth transitions and optimal resource allocation.
• Optimize cloud costs by working closely with the FinOps team, selecting appropriate services, and scaling resources.
• Introduce automation and DevOps practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements by collaborating with cloud security architects and SOC teams.
• Mentor and guide the cloud operations team in tackling complex cloud infrastructure challenges.

Key qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with a minimum of 3 years specializing in Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions) and best practices for cloud migration.
• Experience in cloud cost optimization and working with FinOps teams.
• Ability to implement automation using tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and process automation.
• Familiarity with security and governance frameworks in cloud environments (e.g., ISO, SOC 2).
• Excellent communication skills and experience in team collaboration and mentoring.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on knowledge of FinOps practices, particularly in optimizing cloud costs.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and security in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and management tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus).
