IT Asset Manager

Purpose of the position

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for maximizing the business value of IT assets across their full lifecycle. The role ensures compliance, cost efficiency, and secure usage of IT resources, while also driving organizational maturity in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and FinOps practices.

You will act as a key partner to leadership, helping ISS make data-driven investment decisions in IT, optimize vendor contracts, and shape a sustainable, cost-efficient IT landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and execution of ISS’s global ITAM and FinOps strategy, aligning with business goals and IT leadership priorities.

• Ensure effective governance and compliance of IT assets by minimizing audit risks and building trust with stakeholders.

• Drive cost optimization and value creation through continuous monitoring of licenses, hardware, and cloud usage, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve ROI.

• Oversee the FlexeraOne platform to ensure it is fully leveraged, adding measurable value to ISS’s IT management capabilities.

• Act as a strategic advisor to Procurement and Finance, ensuring IT investment and budgeting decisions are data-driven and aligned with contractual frameworks.

• Manage relationships with global IT vendors (e.g. Microsoft, IBM, SAP, Oracle), negotiating favorable agreements and ensuring contractual compliance.

• Provide management reporting and actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

• Build awareness and champion ITAM and FinOps culture across ISS, shaping global policies, standards, and processes.

Collaboration & leadership

You will collaborate across global IT teams – Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Cloud Operations – as well as with Finance, Procurement, and external suppliers. This role requires influencing senior stakeholders, aligning diverse interests, and driving global process standardization.

Qualifications & experience

• Master’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Proven track record in IT Asset Management with hands-on expertise in FlexeraOne.

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).

• Understanding of licensing models and metrics for large IT vendors (Microsoft, IBM, SAP, Oracle, VMware, Adobe, Autodesk).

• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations is a strong advantage.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cultures and functions.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
