🔧 Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded systems with custom PCB boards, working remotely with a Chinese hardware manufacturer
- Integrate an AI acceleration chip (Hailo) into custom hardware
- Support a system that connects to a vehicle-mounted AI camera module for real-time face detection (to measure advertising effectiveness)
- Help transition from Raspberry Pi 5 to a fully custom hardware platform
- Collaborate remotely with a software development team based in Poland
🧠 Must-Have Expertise
- Strong experience with embedded systems and custom PCB design/debugging
- Solid understanding of Linux, including device drivers, kernel modules, and low-level integration
- Proficiency in Python, including using Flask for lightweight APIs or service control
- Familiarity with MQTT and IoT communication protocols
- Experience deploying IoT systems in production environments (e.g., remote updates, diagnostics, provisioning)
✅ Nice-to-Have Skills
- Proficiency in C for low-level systems programming
- Experience implementing RetinaFace for AI-based face detection
- Experience with device security, including tamper detection hardware and secure system design
- Understanding of performance tuning for RAM-based runtime environments
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure such as Elastic Beanstalk and EC2
- Node.js, NestJS, REST & GraphQL APIs
- MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Firebase
⏱ Availability
This is a full-time position, but we’re also open to part-time collaboration if needed.
We are ready to start immediately in July.
