We’re seeking a UI Designer to join our team and lead the interface design for a well-funded healthtech startup building a wearable-driven platform. You’ll craft radically simple, highly accessible mobile and web experiences for users ranging from elderly patients to clinicians, helping transform complex health data into calm, legible, and trusted interactions.
About the ProjectYou’ll work on an AI-powered platform that turns continuous health signals from wearables into actionable insights. The challenge lies in designing user interfaces that simplify medical data without losing accuracy, ensuring accessibility, clarity, and trust for elderly users, caregivers, and clinicians alike. Every screen you design will help users make faster, safer, and more informed health decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end UI for iOS, Android, and responsive web applications;
Translate complex health data into simple, legible visual patterns with high contrast, large type, and intuitive flow;
Create and maintain a scalable design system and component library;
Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and production fidelity;
Design clear, low-friction paths for critical user actions (onboarding, alerts, data sharing, error recovery);
Prototype and test with real users (especially elderly and caregivers), gathering feedback to improve accessibility and clarity;
Partner with data, backend, and compliance teams to design privacy-respecting consent and clinician workflows (e.g., Epic integrations);
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in UI/Product Design with a strong focus on mobile applications;
Proven experience designing for accessibility and usability for elderly or non-technical audiences;
Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools), component-driven systems, and prototyping;
Strong data visualization skills, able to convey health trends and alerts clearly;
Experience collaborating closely with engineers and validating designs across devices;
Familiarity with HIPAA/GDPR and privacy-by-design principles;
Strong communication in English (C1);
Demonstrated portfolio of shipped apps with a clear emphasis on simplicity and clarity.
