Backend Developer Python

Together with Inuits Belgium, we are seeking a Backend Developer to join a project building a versatile data platform that enables organizations to integrate, analyze, and manage diverse datasets.

About the project:

You will be part of an international team working on a configurable data platform currently being prepared for production with multiple clients. The team develops new features based on real-world needs, such as tools for analyzing images and managing complex data relationships, while maintaining a strong focus on flexibility and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python;

• Collaborate with frontend developers, project managers, and clients to deliver production-ready solutions;

• Work on integrations with multiple data sources;

• Optimize and maintain data storage solutions;

• Contribute to DevOps practices using Docker for containerization.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Python and backend service development;

• Proficiency in working with relational and/or graph databases (Postgres, ArangoDB a plus);

• Knowledge of web frameworks (Flask preferred);

• Familiarity with cloud storage and file handling;

• Hands-on experience with authentication/authorization systems (KeyCloak or similar);

• Understanding of containerization and deployment using Docker

• Professional proficiency in English.
