Job description

Online interview

We are looking for an experienced freelance Qt Developer to join our exciting project involving a Smart Ring for Wearable Biometric Authentication.

intent has over 10+ years of experience in helping to conceptualize, design, and build apps for IoT and connected devices. We are a software house that acts as a specialized think partner for products at the intersection of physical and digital - from net-new to products looking to enter a competitive and established niche. Some of our clients include Oura, BOSE, and McIntosh audio systems.

Our offer:

💎 Requirements: Strong knowledge of C++ and Qt, experience with mobile apps and Bluetooth/BLE, and a good command of written and spoken English (min. B2).

💰 Salary: 15-30K on B2B with uncapped commission.

🏝️ Perks and benefits: 100% remote work, flexible working hours, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Moreover, if after a few months of working together, we're all on the same page, then definitely we’ll gladly invite you to join our internal intent team for long-term collaboration and you’ll enjoy all the benefits, such as paid holidays, paid sick leave, training budget, and much more!

🚀 Cool projects and clients: We are very picky in terms of clients we work with. 95% are US-based clients such as Jeep or Ōura Ring as well as super cool startups - we’ll tell you more during a call as we’re under NDAs. You will not sell sugar water for the rest of your life.

What you'll do:

Your primary focus will be ensuring the stability of the app, maintaining its connection with the ring (BT/BLE), and fixing bugs. Once the app is stabilized, we will begin introducing new features. We need someone who can bring a fresh perspective to the app, similar to how a Think Partner would help us innovate and push boundaries. The security aspect of this project is mission-critical as it’s part of a multifactor biometric authentication system, so attention to detail and experience with security measures is key.

We are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of C++ and Qt.
  • Experience with Bluetooth/BLE and OTA updates.
  • Experience with mobile applications.
  • Ability to onboard quickly and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, as you will need to explain technical aspects to the client.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Recruitment process:

  1. A screening call with an HR person (45 mins).
  2. A technical interview with the live coding part (max 90 mins).
  3. Final feedback received within a couple of days after the interview.

Join us on this exciting journey where you'll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and shape the future of the IoT industry. Embrace the challenge, unleash your creativity, and be part of a team that is passionate about making a real impact in the world of technology 🦾
