About the project

We are looking for a Lead Software Developer in Test to join a large-scale Digital & eCommerce ecosystem built for a global manufacturing company with internationally recognized brands.

The project covers a broad range of customer-facing digital products and platforms, including:

• e-commerce solutions,

• mobile applications,

• payment gateways,

• loyalty systems,

• search,

• identity and access management,

• and other digital services.

You will be joining a fast-paced, production-critical environment where engineering quality, release stability, and scalable automation are key.

Your role

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building and evolving high-quality automation frameworks, strengthening engineering standards, and improving release confidence across the product landscape.

We are looking for someone who combines strong JavaScript/TypeScript engineering skills with deep expertise in test automation architecture, quality engineering, and CI/CD integration.

This role goes beyond writing automated tests — you will help shape how quality is built into the development lifecycle through better tooling, stronger automation practices, and scalable engineering solutions.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable automation frameworks with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and long-term usability

• Develop and maintain robust UI test automation using Playwright

• Build and improve API-level test automation

• Act as a technical quality gate for automation code by reviewing solutions and promoting engineering best practices

• Identify, debug, and eliminate flaky tests and false positives to keep the automation suite stable and trustworthy

• Improve CI/CD quality checks, test execution workflows, and release feedback loops

• Strengthen test reporting, observability, and quality signals across the delivery process

• Help embed quality and testability into the software development lifecycle

• Introduce and support AI-assisted automation and quality engineering practices where valuable

• Mentor engineers on automation design, code quality, and testing best practices

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of experience in JavaScript / TypeScript engineering, with strong hands-on experience in automation development

• Proven experience designing and building automation solutions as part of the engineering lifecycle

• Strong engineering fundamentals: clean code, design patterns, maintainability, and code review practices

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright

• Solid experience with API test automation

• Good understanding of testing strategies and how to build quality into engineering workflows

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated test execution, and automation framework improvements

• Experience with modern test runners such as Jest or Mocha

• Experience improving test reporting, monitoring, or automation observability

• Ability to review automation code and maintain high engineering standards

• Strong troubleshooting skills, including experience diagnosing and removing flaky tests / unstable automation

• Familiarity with AI-supported development or quality engineering workflows

Nice to have

• Experience in large-scale eCommerce or complex digital product environments

• Experience working in fast release / production-critical environments

• Experience influencing quality engineering standards across teams

• Familiarity with distributed systems and complex customer-facing platforms
