Senior Software Engineer (ERP Solutions)

Position Summary:

Infor COM is one of the leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for medium-sized companies. The solution stems from the processes and requirements, set forth by the manufacturing companies, including wholesalers. A major advantage of the solution is that different production types (variants, projects, series, small series, etc.) can be combined.

The central focus of the role will be to act as a Infor COM application software engineer, by implementing Infor COM application business logic and framework changes to the solution.

A Typical Workday Includes:

• Designs, develops, and documents Infor COM application business logic and framework, especially new functionality and enhancements, based on functional and legal requirements.
• Performs defects corrections, release testing and beta support which may require research and analysis.
• Working as part of a team which consists of Technical and Functional software engineers, as well as Quality Assurance and Product Management.
• Cooperating with the members of other Infor departments, e.g., with the Product Support and Consulting teams in Germany and Poland
• Continuously expanding knowledge about new technologies and methods and facilitating others to pursue knowledge expansion of others

Essentials for the Job:

• Proven working experience in ERP solutions field (can be software development, application / technical support, consulting etc.)
• Programming knowledge and experience in any programming language (preferably procedural or object-oriented)
• Knowledge of ERP processes in medium-sized production
• Understanding of business requirements and ability to translate them into a programming language
• Basic database know-how (Oracle, MS SQL Server), including SQL syntax
• Windows operating system knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Understanding of software implementation life cycle
• English language proficiency
