Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and assure key architecture design documents, decisions, vision and solution architecture
- Lead the design and implementation of data architecture using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.
- Develop and govern data pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and semantic models
- Define best practices for data integration, transformation, and orchestration using Fabric and related Azure services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Mentor data engineering teams and establish architectural standards and guidelines.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across the data lifecycle.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proven experience in data architecture and engineering on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (e.g., OneLake, Data Engineering in Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of lakehouse paradigms, Delta Lake, and data mesh concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data processing and transformation.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Familiarity with data governance tools like Purview is a plus.
- Well versed with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and similar project delivery methodologies.
Experience Required:
- 15+ years of proven experience in the Software industry
- 3+ years of proven experience working as a MS Fabric solution architect (end to end)
