ETRM Python Technical Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior ETRM Allegro Business Analyst with over 15 years of experience in the energy trading sector, specifically within the ETRM, Power/Gas trading domains and European energy markets. This role requires both strong functional business analysis capabilities and a solid technical understanding of modern architectures, particularly in Azure environments. The ideal candidate will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring robust and scalable trading solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed requirements analysis for new and existing software projects in the energy trading domain.
• Collaborate with traders, business managers, and IT teams to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, and process maps.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions.
• Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying pain points and proposing optimizations.
• Design and conduct walkthroughs with technical teams to validate solution coverage and alignment.
• Serve as the interface between business and technology, ensuring mutual understanding and clarity.
• Document functional design, reference data mappings, and testing scenarios.
• Set up automated reference/mock data to facilitate development and testing processes.
• Develop and manage functional test catalogs, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Participate in project planning, stakeholder review sessions, and status reporting.

Technical Requirements

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and ability to contribute to the design of scalable, maintainable systems.
• Ability to document architectural decisions, technical specifications, and test strategies in detail.
• Proven experience implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure, working with cross-functional teams (developers, security engineers, DevOps).
• Proficiency in designing cloud-native architectures using Azure cloud services.
