We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineering Lead with strong expertise in Informatica, Teradata, and enterprise-grade data strategies to spearhead a mission-critical Finance Data Quality & Remediation (DQ&R) program.

🔍 Role Overview

As the Data Engineering Lead, you will partner with Finance leadership and cross-bank teams to shape and execute the Finance DQ&R strategy. You’ll lead a high-performing team (5–10 FTEs across Ireland and abroad), balancing strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership. Your influence will extend across the organization, ensuring consistent data quality aligned with regulatory and business goals.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, execution, and evolution of Finance DQ&R Strategy in alignment with Group-wide objectives.
2. Manage, coach, and mentor a distributed team of data engineers and analysts.
3. Collaborate with Group Data Office, IT, and Finance functions to drive high-impact data quality initiatives.
4. Maintain project transparency, stakeholder engagement, and delivery excellence.
5. Champion best practices in ETL, data warehousing, and quality frameworks.

✅ Mandatory Skills & Experience

1. 10–12 years of deep experience with Informatica and Teradata in large-scale environments.
2. 15+ years in enterprise IT with a strong foundation in Computer Science or related technical field.
3. At least 10 years within financial institutions, delivering systems used by end users in production.
4. Proven track record of leading teams (10+ people) while still hands-on with data engineering practices.
5. Direct experience working in highly regulated environments, including building or enhancing systems used in production.
6. Ability to formulate strategies, influence stakeholders, and execute with precision in a matrixed organization.
7. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
