Cloud Solution Architect Retail & GenAI

We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to support a UK-based retail client in designing next-generation AI-driven systems. The role focuses on vector search, agent-based solutions, and scalable architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a remote position aligned with EMEA working hours and involves close collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design GCP-based cloud solutions with a focus on GenAI, vector search, and agent frameworks

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate retail use cases into technical architecture

• Lead design and advisory for AI/ML capabilities, including LLM-based systems

• Ensure performance, scalability, and compliance within cloud environments

• Support engineering teams in implementing and optimizing AI-driven workflows

• Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture or data/AI engineering

• Strong knowledge of GCP services and architecture best practices

• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, or agent-based AI systems

• Understanding of GenAI/LLM concepts and real-world applications

• Background in the retail domain or experience supporting consumer-facing platforms

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to work effectively across distributed teams in the EMEA region

• Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) or equivalent GCP certification required
