Your career opportunity
The Penetration Testing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of penetration testers in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities within systems, networks, and applications. The tole involves leading security assessments, managing complex engagements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, actionable results. The role also includes collaboration with other Penetration Testing Team Leads from different regions to align strategies, share insights, and maintain global best practices. Additionally, the Team Lead contributes to development and enhancement of testing methodologies and the knowledge base to ensure consistent, effective penetration testing. Though strong leadership, Team Lead will mentor and develop team members, while working closely with internal stakeholders to proactively address security risks and strengthen defenses against evolving cyber threats.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage penetration testing projects, ensuring comprehensive testing across diverse technologies, environments and systems.
- Collaborate with regional and global Penetration Testing Leads to standardize processes, align on strategies, and share insights across teams.
- Lead, mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on technical skills, career development, and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of internal resources, including knowledge base, technical documentation and training materials.
- Manage the testing lifecycle, from scoping and planning to execution and reporting ensuring timely delivery of quality results.
- Act as a primary point of contact for Penetration Testers and internal stakeholders in case of complex issues, or client concerns during testing engagements ensuring client satisfaction.
- Assist with tracking, remediation, and risk acceptance for identified security vulnerabilities.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- At least 5 years of prior demonstrable hands-on experience in penetration testing.
- Solid understanding of the platform security models for iOS and Android platforms and proven programming/scripting skills.
- Excellent understanding of platform-specific security risks, common vulnerabilities for mobile applications, common risks in financial applications.
- Practical knowledge of penetration testing of widely understood infrastructure, web and mobile technologies, using manual and automated testing methods.
- Excellent TCP/IP knowledge and understanding of security implications/issues and applied use of cryptography in application development.
- Be subject matter expert in at least 2 of pentest domains (i.e. infrastructure/apps/mobile).
- Ability to lead any size team of penetration testers.
