Your career opportunity

The role covers CS Compute Mainframe across all Regions and will interface with other business areas and departments, including Cybersecurity, Group IBMz Support (ITID/CTO), Global Risk Domains, Internal and External Audit. The role holder will be part of a CS Compute Mainframe team of approximately 10 FTE, spread across the Group.

What you’ll do

• Seek to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness in the processes and tooling as defined in the Mainframe (IBMz) Security Framework.

• Take an active part in adapting/changing practices to improve both controls and efficiency. 

• The role holder should be expected to deal with ambiguous situations in a relatively autonomous manner and escalate where necessary but often have to find answers or the right way of doing things on their own as not everything will be in a Processes & Controls manual.

• Contribute to all related activities within the Mainframe (IBMz) domain. 

• Define and manage the Mainframe (IBMz) projects and security processes.

• Drive security excellence within the domain.

• Define CS control requirements for the Mainframe (IBMz) security domain in policies and procedures. 

• Operating a first line of defence to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Basic knowledge of the IBMz platform, system concepts, moving around the environment, dataset types. (RACF and/or ACF2 knowledge is a plus).

• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts like: user provisioning, building/maintaining access structures

• Previous experience in similar position.

• Ability to think creatively to deliver innovative solutions.

• Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries.

• Ability to engage others and work autonomously.
