We are seeking experienced professionals to support our IT Service Operations team in ensuring stable and reliable IT services. This role involves managing incidents, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting key business processes through effective IT service management.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining service stability, managing incidents, and working closely with technical teams to ensure smooth operations. You will also handle documentation, compliance, projects and performance tracking to support business objectives.
What you’ll do
- Monitor incident channel for issues being raised by technical teams.
- Participation in serious incidents coordination and take lead of stakeholder’s communication.
- Own post incident follow-ups along with completion of technical documentation to maintain problem management standard.
- Help to ensure service stability on production (work with development team, infrastructure team etc. to fix any ongoing or known issues) including successful operation and continuous improvement of service.
- Report to the business information regarding service stability and ongoing issues, patching, evergreening.
- Accountable for maintaining effective control of the end-to-end application and service (which includes Dev; UAT; Production and Contingency).
- Pro-active planning of service requirements (eg, Evergreening, planning capacity upgrades), assisting with new initiatives that may impact the service and regularly communicating the benefits, risks and performance of their service to the Business (Product owners).
- Maintain documentation and secure IT procedures are followed for any project and ongoing BAU activity.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Availability to work in different shifts, or be “on call” duty, to support a ‘follow the sun’ model when required
- Strong communication skills in English, experience in writing service outage / incident communications to senior stakeholders.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in either IT Service Management, Infrastructure or Software support or Project Management, Production Support role.
- ITIL knowledge or equivalent.
- Knowledge of all components of an enterprise IT architecture and processes.
- Intensively driven, proactive and delivery focussed.
- Hands-on experience in software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (ideally AWS).
