Identity & Access Management (IAM) is part of the wider Cybersecurity function.
IAM is a first line of defence function, that serves as the focal point in Cybersecurity for access related activities ensuring that HSBC’s electronic based assets are monitored, managed, accessed, and protected effectively so that only those people with legitimate business need can access or modify them, when they need to do so.
What you’ll do
- Engagement with SOX, Internal and External Auditors as well as IAM Regional leads globally
- Support the global team and build an end-to-end IAM audit management process and framework that is aligned to the Bank’s NFRO framework.
- Work closely with other cyber and tech teams ensuring strong communications are forged and maintained to mitigate associated risk.
- Advise on the delivery of IAM improvements, automation, and future-state objectives.
- Directly influence the operational effectiveness of the functional unit.
- Act as an initial point of contact for IAM audit requirements.
- Adhere to and actively support established policies and procedures.
- Support and embed change initiatives.
- Lead team members and manage their performance process
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal with experience in regulatory reporting.
- Previous experience in regulatory risk role or similar.
- Experience of communication with regulators within the banking sector.
- Self-sufficient and strong motivation within the context of the role and scope.
- Identity & Access Management Experience
- Regulatory, Risk & Issue Management Experience
- Technical background/degree
- Awareness/knowledge of relevant frameworks e.g. NIST, GDPR etc.
- Technical background with relevant certifications e.g. CISA, CISM, CGEIT etc.
- Previous audit/governance experience
