What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications for Android banking platforms
Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices
Buildup pipelines and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD) and continuous testing activities
Setting up monitoring, alerting
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Write clear technical documentation
Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in production
Study deployment guides and support deployment.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
5+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8 or above) with solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of: CI/CD, Linux, Jenkins, Ansible, code quality scanners (like SonarQube), maven, monitoring tools (like Appdynamics, CloudWatch).
Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ).
Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, MyBatis).
Nice to have: Exposure to cloud platforms AWS (EKS, Lambda), GCP, or Azure), containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Liberty).
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
