We're looking for a Software Engineer with experience designing, building and maintaining high-scale, big-data distributed systems. You'll work closely with a strong team of 16 DevOps engineers across the company to deliver a stable and highly scalable product.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate on designing and setting up new features and system improvements.

• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Managing, optimising, and maintaining our diverse database ecosystem (10+ technologies).

• Designing and scaling our microservices-oriented architecture across numerous Kubernetes clusters spread across several continents.

• Update and maintain software processes and tools.

• Bring in current IT best practices to our setup.

• Work on reducing costs for the solutions we use.

• Drive automation and optimisation initiatives across application development and infrastructure management using enterprise AI tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Have 3+ years of direct experience working in cloud infrastructure or software development.

• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes

• 2+ years of experience with GCP/AWS/Azure

• Knowledge of the administration of PostgreSQL

• Programming skills in any scripting language

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-scale, big-data distributed systems.

• Familiar with CI/CD processes and tools. 

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, Config Connector, Crossplane.

• Skills in infrastructure or cost optimisation.
