Your career opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead. You will be a key contributor embedded with in an agile cross functional team, which driving innovation, support delivering HSBC products and coordinate the QA Team. You will help to drive the continuous improvement of our processes, tooling and engineering practices.
What you’ll do
The role is focused on work with both your team and other cross functional teams to plan and execute tests using the latest test automation technologies, processes and Tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently for millions of HSBC customers.
- Design and maintaining automation script suites of delivered functionalities
- Create metrics related to the project and Test Strategy
- Documenting test results by raising defect tickets and creating reports
- Work closely, communicate and plan with BA, PO, PM and DEV
- Ensuring that delivered functionalities are covered by automated tests on a proper level
- Participate in engineering discipline, best practice and standards compliance within HSBC and global IT
- Support/Manage other testers in the team
- Contribute to the improvements of the testing process and automation frameworks as part of the wider QA & Test Community
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- The ability to create, modify, execute and analyse software tests at every level: Unit, Integration, System, UAT and SIT
- The ability to create clear test documentation (test plans, test cases) as required from user stories and close collaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Strong experience of writing test code in Java and other related technology and framework
- Ability to write production quality test code at multiple levels of test pyramid
- Coding and scripting experience to support test framework, automation and tool development
- Deep familiarity with multiple testing frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Karate, Tosca, JMeter, LoadRunner) and a proven ability to switch between them with a minimum of ramp-up time
- Strong experience with multiple forms of testing activity (Feature, Regression, System, Integration, Performance and Security) and an ability to automate tests for all of them
- Familiarity with visualisation tools typically used by testers (e.g. AppDynamics, Kibana) combined with a capability to configure them to display test results in real time.
