About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Linux infrastructure, particularly on Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Debian systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands‑on across the stack, writes robust automation in Bash, Python, or Perl, and leverages Ansible for configuration management at scale. A solid understanding of basic networking concepts, including BGP, routing, and fire‑walling, is essential, as is the willingness to take full responsibility for the services they own. Experience with modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, together with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform and Helm charts, is required to drive our cloud‑native initiatives forward. While German language skills are a significant advantage, fluency in English is acceptable. Additional pluses include familiarity with Solaris (not necessarily needed, but nice to have!) environments, a strong “no‑fear” attitude toward ownership, and a hands‑on mentality that embraces problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
