HL Tech is a Polish technology hub within Hargreaves Lansdown’s Digital division (700 colleagues). We work as one integrated digital team with colleagues in the UK, jointly building and developing the systems that power the entire HL investment platform. Our teams are fully mixed across both locations, sharing ownership, engineering standards and delivery practices. Together, we design new features, improve platform reliability, and develop solutions that help HL deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes for millions of clients. We don’t just maintain existing systems — we collaborate closely with HL’s UK teams to build new products and capabilities that move the platform forward.We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help promote our dedicated, friendly and growing Trading Team to deliver critical new functionality to our clients and internal users. What you’ll do

• Building and deploying scalable, fault-tolerant microservices at pace, owning them end-to-end.

• Integrating with cloud applications, operating in a zero-trust, security-first environment.

• Delivering value iteratively, always focused on customer outcomes and short feedback loops.

• Creating and visualising application metrics to evaluate usage patterns and detect anomalies.

• Reviewing code with peers, with an eye for both quality and velocity. 

• Working with others in the team to solve problems, not just deliver features.

• Innovating and bringing new ideas for adoption across HL Digital.

• Driving technical choices and shaping how we build our services.

• Providing coaching and mentoring to peers.

About You

• At least 5 years of experience working with React Native, React and TypeScript including enterprise-grade experience (experience with large app decomposition, layers separation, and scalable architecture for enterprise-level applications).

• Experience with architecture and design patterns.

• Familiarity with different styling solutions (StyleSheet, Styled Components, Unistyles).

• Efficient React Native debugging skills — ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with React Native applications using debugging tools, logs, and error tracking.

• Practical knowledge of JavaScript and testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, Testing Library).

• Experience in Brownfield Development.

• Experience working with REST API and/or GraphQL.

• Understanding of state management patterns and solutions like Redux and Mobx.

• Min B2-level proficiency in both English and Polish
