Job description

We are looking for a QA Manager with a proven track record in software delivery and managing teams, who enjoys working with a variety of technologies and people and wishes to further their career by helping us achieve our strategy. This role would suit someone currently working as a Test Manager, an experienced Test Lead/Senior Test Analyst, or an IT, Change or Operations manager with experience in managing quality controls who is looking to make the next step in their career.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have:

Previous experience in leading or managing software delivery teams working in Agile methodologies
Creating manual and automated test strategies and plans
CI/CD
Line and resource management
Reporting on progress against plans, defect saturation, and test execution
Working on concurrent projects
Strong communicator (written and verbal), comfortable presenting to diverse stakeholders
Good attention to detail and highly organised
Able to work and perform under pressure. Proactive, resourceful and uses own initiative

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with agile squads and team leadership across all testing stages, upholding quality and implementing solutions and strategies
Ensuring all functional and non-functional aspects of the Quality function are embedded, including security and performance testing
Consult teams on best practices and standards for testing processes, tasks and reporting
Define, review and improve quality standards, tooling and processes in line with best practice alongside team leadership
Support Head of Quality and Senior QA Managers to define structures, process, procedures and strategies in line with agile methodologies
Guide and mentor Quality team members
Lead recruitment and retention across the Quality Team
Risk Management: Communicate and manage alongside team and initiative leadership
Provide line management to Quality team members
